Tribe Nights is our monthly party for social dancing in Geelong: a relaxed night to dance the Salsa and Bachata you have learned, meet the tribe and have fun. Beginners welcome!

What happens at Tribe Nights
Tribe Nights is a relaxed social dance night with Salsa and Bachata music, and anyone can ask anyone to dance. There's no performance and no pressure: people dance a few songs, have a chat and a drink of water, and dance again. It's the best way to turn what you learn in class into real dancing.
I'm a beginner. Is it for me?
Yes. Lots of our dancers come to their first Tribe Nights after only a class or two. You'll dance the steps you know with people who are happy to keep it simple. Your first Tribe Nights entry is free with every Tribe Pack, so if you've bought a pack, your first night is on us.
Do I need a partner?
No. Most people come on their own or with friends, and everyone dances with everyone. Asking someone to dance is as simple as "Want to dance?" and saying "no thanks" is always fine.
What to wear and bring
Wear something you can move in and shoes that turn easily. Plenty of people dress up a little for the night, but it's up to you. Bring a water bottle.
Social dancing in Geelong, once a month
Tribe Nights runs monthly, currently at Ballroom Baby in Geelong. Entry is $20, or free for your first night with a Tribe Pack. Dates are listed above as soon as they're set, and we announce each one on Instagram.
Etiquette in one minute
- Ask anyone to dance, and say thank you after the song.
- Keep moves simple with beginners and dance to your partner's level.
- Look after the people around you on a busy floor.
- Have fun. Nobody is watching your feet.
